The City of Naperville’s consultants CJ Law, The Chicago Tribune …and NEST all found IMEA costs to be more expensive than what other communities are paying for wholesale electricity. This is not a comparison to ComEd as they are a retail supplier, not a wholesale supplier. Our analysis has been updated through the twelve months ending November 2025 and found that IMEA remains more expensive than the market rate.Show More

Imagining a Carbon-Free Future: Climate Reality Project and NEST

We used to imagine a future that had flying cars, moon colonies, and video phones. One out of three isn’t bad! Tom Coleman speaks about imagining a different future — …one where the world comes together to tackle climate change and stop overheating the planet. What type of world are we trying to build when we address climate change and how can everyone do their part to make that world a reality?

Tom Coleman is a retired chief information officer, a member of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps, Chair of their Chicago area Electric Vehicle and Presentations Committees, proud owner of 2 electric vehicles and 27 solar panels, and part of NEST’s Transportation team. This presentation was given at the NEST Community meeting on January 17, 2022.
