- Over 900 kW of rooftop solar at some recognizable places, like Blackwell Forest Preserve and the farm barn at the Danada Equestrian Center
- Executing solar in tandem with buying renewable energy credits
- Innovative use of solar thermal hot water systems
- Capturing renewable energy from gas collected at a former landfill
- Alternative fuel and electric vehicle fleet
Through these and other initiatives, the Forest Preserve District of DuPage is part of the EPA’s Green Power Partnership.
