Distributed Energy Resources (aka: DER) are a category of energy technologies where power is either generated onsite at a residence or commercial building, or else very close by. The most common residential example is rooftop solar panels. However, DER also consists of small wind turbines, fuel cells, generators and battery storage.
Kamentha Pillay, Manager of Project Execution – Distribution Interconnection at ComEd, will present the opportunities that DER provide in providing cleaner, lower cost, reliable energy for our future needs.
