This video takes a deep dive into why IMEA costs are 43% more than the market rate in 2025.  The City of Naperville’s consultants CJ Law, The Chicago Tribune and NEST all found IMEA costs to be more expensive than what other communities are paying for wholesale electricity.  This is not a comparison to ComEd as they are a retail supplier, not a wholesale supplier.  Our analysis has been updated through the twelve months ending November 2025 and found that IMEA remains more expensive than the market rate.
